i made a wallhanging using this pattern for a friend's 65th b'day and liked the pattern, which i saw in Kaffe Fassett's book on Patchwork. i made this lap quilt and gave it to my son William and his girlfriend Sara after their visit for Christmas 2003-04. quilted by me in the ditch - using my new sewing machine! - on the white fabric of the broken squares only, which makes them pop.
